Does hearing Spanish around you bothers you?

Bueno el título de la entrada lo dice todo. Pero viviendo en los EE.UU he podido vivir esa experiencia, pues a los "blancos" les desagrada escuchar otro idioma que no sea el Inglés. El otro dia estaba tomándome un café y estaba con un compañero de trabajo y al lado nuestro un policía. Nosotros hablábanos en español y el policia obviamente no entedía lo que le hizo incomodarse, sonrojarse de la ira y marcharse enseguida, dejándonos una mirada de mal gusto. Domingo Iván Casañas hace bien al cerrar su artículo diciendo:So, relax a bit let me speak my Spanish with a friend without getting rattled. We are not talking about you! We just feel more comfortable speaking our native tongue. Comprendes?

Sin embargo de ésto Gabriel García Marquez deja muy bien parado a nuestro idioma con la publicación de su última novela. Buena por el Gabo.

    Tu anécdotas son muy interesantes y un poco el denominador comun para los hispanos en EE.UU.
